Dr. Timothy Chen: Pediatric Dentist Specialist

Dr. Timothy Chen is dedicated to his patients, parents, staff and community. He enjoys sharing the knowledge and experience with the children and parents allowing them to learn the importance of oral health. He believes prevention is better than cure. Just knowing the appreciation the patients and prents have makes his profession worth it. He ensures everyone that walks through the door is treated like family.

Dr.  Chen is of Chinese Jamaican heritage. He was born in Toronto, Canada. He left after his family ran away from the cold and was raised in St. Andrew, Jamaica, the land of beach, sunshine and great food. Dr. Chen then went to Florida to pursue his dreams. He studied at the University of Florida and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Gainesville.  He continued his studies at the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Davie, Florida, where he was awarded his degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine.

Realizing the joy and the need for treating children he spent an additional two years to complete his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine as well as a Hospital component at the Miami Children’s Hospital and the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

He volunteers in the Give Kids a Smile organization giving the kids in need dental treatment they deserve. Dr. Chen is a proud volunteer of the Nova Southeastern University’s Medical Mission, to provide dental services to underprivileged patients throughout the rural areas of Jamaica.

Dr. Gina Cozzarelli: Orthodontist

Dr. Gina, our orthodontist at Tooth Tales, explains to the children who come to Tooth Tales how important it is to have a “good bite”, with teeth that are nice and straight. To parents, she points out how beneficial it is to bring their children in the growth phase for an examination for the bone patterns and any occlusions that are present.

Dr. Gina gives individualized, caring treatment for each of the children in Tooth Tales. She is married to Dr. Ivan Moldauer, a dental specialist in root canals, and has two children, Steven (3 years old) and Leah (1 year old).

Christina Miranda: Office Manager

Christy wears many hats at Tooth Tales. One of her most noticeable gifts is the bright smile she gives to each child and parent who come to Tooth Tales.  She has been in the pediatric dental field literally since she was a child. She enjoys making the children feel welcome and comfortable when they visit tooth tales. She ensures all the staff  in the office, including the doctors,  are kept in line :) Christy and her husband Raidel have three children: Victoria, 12 years; Daniel, 10 years; and Andrew, 9 years.  Christy is active in Boy Scouts  and is a cheerleading team mom.
